director, teacher (pre-kindergarten)
Kristy has been teaching at our school since 1999, and has been the school’s director since 2000. Prior to the co-op, she spent 2 years teaching at Woodside Parents Nursery School and 5 years at Stanford’s Bing Nursery School. Kristy lives in Menlo Park with her husband and dog, and has two grown children and twin grandchildren. When she isn’t teaching, Kristy loves to read, exercise, and spend time with family and friends.
Allison feels honored to be joining such a supportive and welcoming community of educators, parents, and children. She comes to the co-op with over eight years of preschool teaching experience in addition to over three years of running a successful home daycare. Allison holds a BS degree in Business and working as a co-op parent in her own children’s nursery school inspired her to join the teaching profession. She lives in San Carlos with her husband, three teenage children, two cats, one frog, and a hermit crab. When not teaching, Allison enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.
teacher (young preschool)
Autumn’s involvement in the parent participation community began in 2006, when she attended a co-op preschool with her son and fell in love with this model of education.
In the years since, Autumn has been involved in the field of early childhood and parent education in several different capacities: as a parenting columnist, speaker, workshop leader, and family fitness director. In 2012, she began teaching the 3s/4s class at Los Altos Parent Preschool and continues there today, dividing her time between the co-op and LAPP.
One of Autumn’s deepest joys is getting messy in a classroom of preschoolers and connecting with their parents. When she is not teaching, she enjoys reading, writing, crafting, practicing improv, and exploring nature. She also loves engaging in lots of rough and tumble play with her son, nieces and nephews, and dog.
